Snow Day #3

Early Thursday morning (2am-ish), James and I looked outside to see MORE snow coming down!

James got this really cool picture of all the fun snowflakes. If you double click on it to make it larger, you can see little rainbow colors in the snowflakes as they reflect the camera's flash.

This stuff was really starting to pile up!

Lots of snow on the fence posts too.

What was really weird was how much the snow reflected the city lights. The above pictures were taken with the flash on and it looked much darker than it really was. This picture was taken with the flash OFF - it looks like it could be daylight out there!

The next day, everything was covered with beautiful white snow. We saw this poor cold little bird sitting on the rose bush in front of the window.

James wanted to put his Netflix movie in the mail just in case the mailman came by. So he and Ian got dressed to go outside. Of course, Ian thought it would be fun to go play out back again!

While waiting for Daddy, he amused himself in the kitchen. I think he looks so cute in his jammies and boots!

Playing with the fridge magnets.

I really can't get enough of these jammies and boots!!

Ian, on the other hand, was totally enthralled by Daddy's hat!

Off they go!

Stepping carefully. The snow hides a serious layer of ice.

Mommy, are you coming?

Oh boy! It's getting deeper.

Too deep! Time for Daddy to carry me!

Trudging their way back inside.

James was really sweet and ran back out to take a picture of the house covered in snow.

Mommy, Skip and I would like to watch more Veggie Tales! We promise we aren't sick of them yet!

Good thing we had so many Veggie Tales episodes on DVD! I think we went through almost every one of them! We also got a bunch more organizing and cleaning started. Later that night, I found out from a friend it was supposed to snow the next day as well. Yay for the fourth day of no school/work!
