Candy

In the last two weeks, Ian has learned to sign "candy". The glass jar of skittles sitting on the bar is solely responsible for this new word. "Candy" is signed by twisting your index finger by your mouth (at least that's the variation that I thought was easiest for him to learn). The first time I showed him the sign and told him to sign it, he was so excited about getting Skittles that he started blowing kisses. It cracked us up! He was so excited about the Skittles and trying so hard to get it right - he was just going too fast!

But now, thanks to the lovely rainbow of Skittles, Ian signs "candy" like a two year old pro. I love his little sign - he twists his index finger with his other fingers outstretched.

Little boy, you are just as sweet as candy when you want something! Makes Momma and Daddy's hearts melt!
