...Was with Gramma K. The second day of Christmas was with Grandaddy and Grammy Jen. The third day of Christmas will be with our little family. The fourth day of Christmas is with Nana and Uncle Kenny. Hmm...I need little music notes to insert in here. And okay - so maybe none of this really goes with the music or the actual 12 days of Christmas. :-)
Anyways, our first Christmas was with Gramma K this year. We all had plans to meet up at Aunt Kt's house. James got off work early, but it seemed to take us forever to load the car! We had quite a few presents to take with us. Eventually we got on the road and James and Ian fell asleep while I drove. We got in a bit later than we had planned, but Aunt Kt had some yummy potato soup and shrimp cocktail waiting for us! Gramma K showed up not too long after we did and the festivities got under way.
Bear with me...I have tons of pictures! I really should have put them in a slideshow format, but I would need James' help for that.
Ace feeding Ian - so cute!
Merry Christ-mouse! I saw this recipe and couldn't resist!
Cousins inspecting the goods!

Gramma K started a fun game last year called Rum Ball Roulette. She has traditionally made rum balls for James and Kt at Christmas time and last year she decided to hide little "surprises" in a few of the rum balls. The person who at the rum ball and found the surprise got a gift card or lottery ticket or some other little fun prize. The craziest thing inside the rum balls last year was a cat treat! Poor James and Tray got stuck eating those! But, they won restaurant gift cards to take their wives on a date! Well worth it, in my opinion. This year, Kt and I both found the rum balls with green olives. Yuk! Very, very salty taste that did not go with the rum balls. But, it was still a lot of fun, nonetheless.

Uncle Tray feeding Aunt Kt pickled okra instead.

Digging the jalepeno peanut butter ball!

Actually eating the olive in the rum ball - it's super salty!!
