2 Going On 8

Two of Ian's favorite movies right now are High School Musical (pronounced hascockle) and Diary of a Wimpy Kid (pronounced ofaKid). Kind of a far cry from the Elmo and Word World movies he had been watching just a month ago. He happened to find both of these movies in a stack of DVDs and has been very insistent on watching both (really parts of both) multiple times a day.

Ian especially loves the musical numbers in HSM. I was sitting at the computer the other day and Ian came tearing into the kitchen, shouting "Daaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnzzzzzzz!!!!!!" He was so excited about the choreography! He tries to mimick it and it is the cutest thing in the world. He will spin on the floor, push off his train table, and turn in circles like the big kids. The other day, he grabbed his ball and was trying to match the basketball choreography they have in one of the opening numbers.

I actually prefer Ian enjoy these movies now before he really understands all the corniness and tries to mimick that! :-) It will be interesting to see what his movie likes are when he is 8!
