Remember how I said that I love going to work because I meet some awesome people there? While there are too many of them to list here, you already know Libby, Josh, and Noah. We have been so blessed by their friendship! They are the kind of people that make you feel better about life just by being who they are. Smart, creative, friendly, caring, and downright hilarious at just the right moment - they have everything you could hope for in friends! We don't get to spend near enough time with them!
Another couple that we have gotten to know very well and love hanging out with haven't shown up on my blog much because we never seem to take pictures when we hang out! Justin and Katie are very good friends that I work with and we all go to church with. They are the kind of friends that "get" us and our quirks. They love Ian and Ian loves them. Katie and James can talk old movies for hours on end (although they much prefer actually watching them) and Justin and I can delve into the mysteries of linguistics while they talk movies. Katie and I can talk girl stuff and James and Justin can talk guy stuff...it works out so well. We are so so so grateful to have them in our lives!
Over Christmas break, K & J invited us to go with them to the Bed & Breakfast they stayed at during their honeymoon 8 months ago. We were so excited to have some quality couple time! Grandaddy, Grammy Jen, and Aunt Erin graciously kept Ian for us so we could get away for a little R&R.
James, Katie, and Justin - the Kindle/iPad group. I don't have either...guess I should get one!
Ha! The beautiful Wildwood Inn had an old-fashioned wheelchair and Katie & I couldn't resist getting comfy like a couple of little old ladies.
Hehehehehehe...doesn't Katie make the cutest lil old lady?!
The boys had other things to do than act like little old ladies. :-)
Another great pic of Katie in the wheelchair.
Two lil ole ladies having fun!
James and Justin were really into the checker game.
I told them to smile for a pic and they thought that was just plain cheesy! (They're signing "cheesy" just in case you don't recognize the sign.)
While in Hot Springs, we went to several of the recommended restaurants. Taco Mama was great and had a yummy Big Mama margarita/sangria mix.
Turns out we could have ordered a Little Mama! There was no way both of us working together could finish that Big Mama!
I heart this picture. :-)
We went to J&S and had a fantastic waiter!! Funny voices, good punchlines. Ask for Chris if you are out that way!
Katie & Justin - thank you so much for such an incredible, wonderful, very good time! And thanks for being such great friends. We're looking forward to our next trip together!
