I got two very sweet cards for Mother's Day this year, both from Ian. One he made for me while at his friends' house this week. (Thanks again Joel and Mindy for watching Ian for me!)
When I picked Ian up from Joel and Mindy's house, Joel explained that he knew what Ian had drawn even before Ian told him!
Jokingly, I guessed it was Ian bouncing off the walls. However, it actually does look like fire, which is what Ian told Joel that he drew!
The second card I got after a nice two hour nap on Mother's Day! Daddy and Ian had made this card for me.
Daddy said that Ian helped tear the heart shape and glue it on.
Ian loved the glue! Daddy helped with the writing. :-) Then Ian glued a bunch more paper strips onto the rest of the purple paper. Love the art!
Daddy had a bunch of work to do the rest of the afternoon, so I got to hang out with Ian the rest of the day. He really wanted "uh-fries", so we went to "Donald's" for some fun. At McDonald's, Ian gave me the best Mother's Day present ever! He played for an hour with the other kiddos without hitting anyone! For a kid that we had to keep away from public play places earlier this year, this is HUGE improvement. I am so proud of him!
Here he is playing peek-a-boo with a few other kiddos at the tunnel.
And here he is walking on the guitar that makes music. I was trying to get pictures of him with no other kiddos around so I didn't freak out any other parents, but this one kiddo jumped into this picture. However, it really shows how well Ian did with all the activity level to keep his hands to himself!
After we got back home and had dinner, Ian and I went for a walk. I don't think I will ever get tired of seeing my little boy pulling his precious wagon!
We live in such a gorgeous area! I am really lucky. I know we may not live here forever, so I try and savor the scenery on each walk.
Happy Mother's Day to everyone!
