More Coupon Deals!

Today was a BUSY day. I did six hours of errands. I kid you not - three with Ian and three without. I have two busy weekends full of interpreter workshops coming up and had a lot that I had to get done this weekend.

Since we were out and about, I decided to run into the CVS close to our old apartments "real quick-like". The CVS by our house was out of the razors that I had coupons for when I went by the other day.

I was so glad I stopped by. The Schick Hydro razors were on sale for $9.97 and I had four $5/1 ($5 off 1) coupons. To top it off, there was a free $5 ECB (store credit) back on the razors. So, I was hoping to score four razors for free! When I got to the shaving aisle and saw that not only did they have the razors, but each razor had a peel-off coupon for a free can of Hydro shaving cream, I got pretty excited. Those are the kind of deals I read about on blogs, but never seem to be able to get myself.

I got up to the check-out and everything went smoothly, except I hadn't read the small print in the ad. The $5 store credit was only good for one razor per customer. Oh well. Win some big, win some little. I still think all this, a $42 value, for $15 isn't too shabby.

Oh yeah - sorry. I just noticed the toothpaste in the picture. That was on sale at Walgreens for $3.99. Wags had a $2/1 store coupon, which I paired with a $.75/1 manufacturer coupon to score some nice toothpaste for $1.25.

Back to CVS - on my way to the check-out, I walked past the seasonal aisle. Summer toys were on 75% off clearance, so I got a ball/bat combo for Ian for Christmas for $1.25 (not pictured). And then I saw these cuties, also on 75% clearance.

How could I resist? The whole lot only cost me $4.50 and is perfect for fun desserts when all Ian's friends' Mommies come for play dates! Do I really need them? No. Do I have room for them? Probably not. But I made room! The crock-pot was getting lonely.

I figured after all those errands, I deserved a little splurge. My inside informant, Hooked on Bargains, already has CVS deals and Walgreens deals posted for this coming week. Time to start cutting coupons again!
