Happy Birthday, Daddy!

I just had to add a few more pictures of our Friday night stay at The Joule from their website. This place is really gorgeous!

Night time view.

Beautiful rooftop pool!

Lovely, lovely, lovely!

Another view of the lobby with the gears (there is one on the ceiling too!).

After a wonderful NINE hours of uninterrupted sleep, I pulled myself out from under the luxurious sheets to get James' B-day breakfast ready.

In case you didn't notice, it makes a smiley face! Cheesy, I know! But hey, we have a kid now and can get away with cheese!

After our late breakfast, we drove over to Gramma K's to pick up our little buddy. Gramma K had made Daddy his signature chocolate cake with maple frosting. James actually came up with the idea when he was a kid since he liked the maple frosting on donuts. :-)

Ian's handprint even made it on the cake!

We had a surprise guest show up for lunch at Gramma K's!! Aunt Kt and Cousin Ace surprised us with a last minute visit!!

Gramma K lighting candles.

Singing "Happy Birthday"!

Blowing out the candles.

Daddy opening his birthday card from Ian.

Opening presents from Mommy and Ian.

Ian loved the ribbon!

Daddy was thankful for his presents. :-)

Cousins playing toys.

Cousins with their cute little Shamrock glasses that Gramma K got for them.

What a cutie-patootie!!

Fun little fire truck! (And yes, Ian is almost sitting on James' head. He had laid down to rest a bit and Ian scooted up right next to him!)

Happy Birthday, Daddy! We love you very much. Enjoy your last year in your twenties (sniff, sniff...haha!).

  4. We definitely had a good time. So rare for us to go all out like that - it was fun for a change. Yay! Glad Cepacol is helping. Haha - I don't mind the taste anymore, but yeah they're pretty potent. Hope you are feeling better!
