Spring Has Sprung!

The weather here has been absolutely beeeeeeeeee-uuuu-tiful lately (except the rain on Monday)! Highs in the mid-70s have made for wonderful walking weather. We have been getting out as much as possible. We're looking forward to more of this wonderful springy weather!

However, that kind of spring is not the one this post is about. No, sirreeee. Another type of spring has sprung around our house. Can you guess what it is?

Here's a hint:

Yup, Ian has discovered the door stop springs and LOVES to play with them! He scared Mommy the other day by popping off the rubber end and sticking it in his mouth while I wasn't looking. Fortunately, I discovered it almost right away. All of our door stop springs are now rubber endless.

Here's a little video clip of Ian springing the spring!

  1. I really wish I could be so fascinated and entertained by something as simple as the door stop spring. It amazes me how they focus on things and are fascinated with new objects. I wonder if we had the same curiosity as young children what we would see in ourselves and others. You should be a story book author. I like reading your posts.

  2. Haha, neighbor! Too funny! We'll let you know as soon as the drooling stops. We're looking forward to being drool-free!

  3. Ian has now mastered at least two thirds of how country music is played, and he's not even 1. As soon as he's through drooling I'd like to dicuss a recording deal with you.

  4. Noah did the same exact thing! Scared me to death! Isn't it funny how they are so amused with simple things like that
