Usually at home he just runs around in his birthday suit during the morning. However, I want him to get used to wearing underoos, so we put some on this week. Ian was thrilled with his "under-wears". A few days of regular wearing got boring though, so Ian got creative.
Ha! Cracks me up! I have no idea where he came up with the idea to wear them on his head. It's not like we walk around with underwear on our head and he doesn't have older siblings to teach him these things. Silly boy!
I actually think Ian's big sock monkey, Max, takes the place of a sibling lots of times. Ian is very sweet to share his gummy bears with Max occasionally.
While we've had lots of success in the pee-pee department, we haven't even ventured into #2 territory on the potty yet. Ian has been doing great potty training himself, and we figured that would happen with time. Sure enough, today was the big day! He knew he need to go and ran up to me saying "poo-poo!" And with a little down time on the potty reading a couple of books, we had success!
Poor kid! He is going to be so embarrassed someday when we show this blog to a girlfriend. Oh well...celebrating milestones is well worth it! Ian was so proud of himself!
Way to go, buddy! Thank you for making this so easy on Mommy and Daddy!
Hahaha, this reminds me of hours spent with Allie and books on the potty! It is all so worth it :)
ReplyDeleteI wrote this little poem to my cousins little girl who is in college now, and figured you might be able to use this with Ian as well.....
ReplyDeleteOne day your little birdie, will finally leave the nest.
Mommy and Daddy will worry "Will Ian do his best".
You raised him right, you did your job, he will pass the test.
Just paste these photos on Facebook, and that should take care of the rest.
