* All the cute pretend play. Last night I had to tuck Ian in with his dog Skip and his Robert the Terrible figurine (from the movie "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything"). It was so sweet hearing Ian say, "O' night, Kip. O' night, Robert Terrible. O' Night, Baby. O' Night, Mommy." Part of me never wants him to be able to say "good night" the right way.
* His enthusiastic "OKAY!" answer to many things we ask him (or just statements we make). This morning I asked if he wanted to watch Larry Boy. Of course, I got an "okay!!".
* How he actually answers some questions correctly. "Yeah" and "yeth" are becoming more popular answers. He even answers "no" in appropriate situations too (usually to whether he wants to eat something or watch something). Last night James asked Ian if I was the best Mommy in the world. He answered, "Yeah, asxkl;fju sdifua nsadfkja poiadsfa aciopausdf." He had this big long sentence that we couldn't understand, so I am glad the first part of it started with "yeah"!
* How accurately Ian can match his DVDs up with their cases. He can pick up a random DVD and run right to its case, whether it's on the living room floor or tucked away in a bedroom somewhere. He is very attentive to detail and can match up DVDs that don't have any pictures on them (like Curious George) to their appropriate cases too.
* The funny stories we have about potty training. Apparently, last week, he walked up to the front desk at daycare with his pants down and held his very soggy diaper out to the teacher. The teacher said it was like he was saying, "Hey, this is wet. Fix it." Since then, we've been in more than one store when he has suddenly decided he wants to go potty and has started pulling his pants down on the way to the bathroom. Ian definitely doesn't have no modesty issues!
* He has started my favorite toddler phase, asking, "You ok?" Last night I banged my knee on the car door putting him in and he asked, "You ok? Knee ok?" Love it!!
* He has also started shushing us!! It has only happened a few times, but I have to work really hard not to laugh! I can't even remember now why he did it the first time (which is why I am writing this post...so I don't forget anymore!)
* Ian actually ate Gramma K's fried chicken with BBQ sauce this week! He wouldn't eat it the first night, but he dug into the leftovers with Daddy! I am so excited! This makes chicken in two forms he will eat now!
* Ian still loves to play with Max, his monkey. I really think Max is kind of like a brother to him. Since we can't have another kiddo yet, I'm glad Ian has a few substitutes!
* As hard as two has been for us, there are still so many fun moments with our little guy. It's hard to believe we only have two months before he will be three years old!
Wow! I can't believe he is almost 3!!! That is crazy! Those are some super cute things to remember!
