(I know, I know - I used that picture in a blog yesterday, but I love it so much that I had to put it in here again!)
This past month has been a busy one for our little guy. At ten months Ian:
* has learned how to crawl forwards!
* loves to play with cabinet and bedroom doors (and with whatever is hidden behind the doors!).
* knows that door stop springs make the coolest sounds.
* has discovered his volume control - we hear lots of dadaDADADADADAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
* likes to say "dada" best...we hardly ever hear any other sounds anymore. Although he did tell Daddy "I love you" last night. Daddy was leaving for work and I told him to tell Daddy "I love you". Ian piped up "eye ooov ew". Sooooo cute!
* is pulling himself up on toys, furniture, Mommy and Daddy, and in his crib.
* doesn't think that TV isn't really all that interesting - he pretty much ignores it anytime it is on anymore.
* has tried mushrooms (with Dorothy Lynch dressing of course!), pico de gallo, spaghetti squash, James' traditional b-day chocolate cake with maple frosting, pizza, yogurt, and fresh strawberries.
* is still wearing a size 4 diaper and 12 months in clothes.
* likes the Hokey Pokey, but it doesn't seem to elicit quite the same reaction it used to. For a while at the beginning of the month, he loved "Poor Little Cupid".
* likes to be held and then grab your free hand with his free hand so you will "dance" with him.
* has finally gotten on a fairly regular schedule - wakes up at 7am, naps at 9am and 3pm. And we have finally gotten the naps to be two hours long! We'll see what happens with the time change this week and his newfound ability to pull himself up in his crib.
His smiles and laughter have drawn our hearts captive...we love this little guy so much!
Happy ten months, baby boy! This next month promises to be a busy one for all of us with you on the go now! Momma is just going to enjoy it and not think about how you are turning one in just two months...sniff, sniff!
He is getting SO big!!! I am so sad, but I don't think we are gonna be able to make it to his birthday this year. We will be closing on our new place right around then. With doing the new place, money is tighter than usual. We will for sure see you guys before too long. We should be able to meet up this summer.
ReplyDeleteLove you guys!
This precious young man is growing up entirely too fast. And those eyes - so beautiful! I wish that we got to see you guys more. I loved talking to you today, Laura. We love you guys!!!
