Fun Times

Having a ten month old sure counts for a lot of fun! There have been a lot of highlights over this last month that have had me laughing, like the time when:

* I asked James to come look at something (he was in the kitchen heating up dinner) and he said, "Wait a minute. I'm explaining how the microwave works to Ian."

* Ian spontaneously laughed at the right place at a joke cracked during an Andy Griffith episode without any prompting from James or me.

* Ian clapped along with the TV audience for the first time while watching Dancing With the Stars.

* We got to go to the movies and see Avatar in 3D with our awesome neighbor. (I actually liked it a whole lot more than I had expected to.)

* Ian had so much fun playing peekaboo in an empty cardboard box.

* Daddy clipped the balloon the really nice florist from Kroger had given Ian to the back of his little shirt and he just kept playing like it wasn't even there.

* The weather was so nice that Ian and I could go sit outside on a blanket. Ian was so cute - he would crawl to the edge of the blanket, but he wouldn't venture off of it!

* Ian figured out his mouth made a pretty good third hand and carried his Thanksgiving ducky all around his room in his mouth (I remember my nephew Aiden used to use his mouth as a third hand constantly, so it was extra special to see Ian copying his cousin).

* Ian could not stop laughing at the sounds a plastic bag made swooshing through the air!

* I went in to check on my baby and found him asleep on his tummy (he NEVER sleeps that way - those were the only two days I have ever found him that way).

Good night, precious baby! We love you and pray you have sweet dreams tonight!

  1. Sorry about the heart attack I was having in the picture, but I'm not 18 anymore, and that Avatar "Neytiri"....I think I'm in love.

  2. Naybah C is like a baby. Making noise, don't know what to do. He is also four feet shorter than me, he will never be one of the people.

  3. Haha - Neytiri, you oughta give him a chance. He's actually a pretty decent guy. :-) Naybah C - I wish I could light up like Neytiri can! And I wish my apartment lit up when I walked around! (Neytiri, that is definitely one thing Naybah C has going for him - his apt has all sorts of cool lights.)
