White Christmas!

What a lucky little baby boy! His very first Christmas was a white Christmas! Not all that remarkable in some parts of the country, but here in Texas, things like that only happen every twenty years or so. In fact, there were a lot of reports that this was the first Christmas Eve snow in eighty years!

Mid-afternoon Ian was wondering why Momma was not taking him outside and just did not seem to understand that it was too cold and snowy. So, I finally gave up trying to explain it and opened the door so he could see for himself how cold it was. He LOVED it! He would not stop bouncing in my arms and was a little disappointed when I shut the door on that cold snowy air.

So, we did the next best thing. He bounced in front of the window, watching the snow.

Daddy came home from work shortly after that and agreed to join us for a little romp in the snow.
Ian was so glad to finally be outside!

Once we went out a little farther, he wasn't so sure what to think of it. It was really starting to come down!

Family pix! James set the camera up on our back patio so that is was protected from the elements while he set the timer.

Watching the flakes.

After that picture, it was blowing harder and getting colder, so we ran back inside to put Ian in a warm bath. Fortunately, the snow stuck around the next morning and we were able to go outside and play in the snow a bit more on Christmas morning.

Ian's first snow angel!
Out back behind our apartment again. Fun looking at all the snow!

Daddy giving Ian his first taste of snow. He didn't know what to think! We think it was a little colder than he expected.

Hope you enjoyed your white (or non-white) Christmas!!!
