How Far We've Come

Last night, James and Ian went to the store for me since I had to go to work. James was still up when I got home and told me about a little conversation they had with a couple of other boys while they were there. Apparently James and Ian passed these little boys (4 & 5 years old by James' guess) and they recognized Ian.

Boys: We know him (Ian)! He's at our daycare. He hits.

James: He doesn't do that anymore.

Boys: Oh.

James and I both had a good laugh over this. I am so thankful it is something we can laugh about now! At one point, Ian was hitting quite a bit. Most kids did know that they had to say "soft hands" to him and stay out of his path. Happily, we have had NO hitting incidences since Ian started back after Christmas break. Yay for our little boy growing up and for the Feingold diet!
