Daddy Goes To Disney

Part of the reason for the lack of blogs this past week was due to the fact that Daddy went to Disney with the band, which left me all by myself with Ian for a week! Unfortunately, our spring breaks did not line up, so I had my regular crazy schedule while Daddy was gone.

We knew we would miss Daddy and were glad to have one last dinner with him before he left. Ian even ate Gramma K's left-over fried chicken!

Yum!!

The morning Daddy left (two Thursdays ago now), I woke up Ian so he could say bye to Daddy. Or at least I tried to wake him up...he was pretty out of it!

Poor tired little buddy. He hugged Daddy and then got very concerned that Mommy was leaving too.

We tried to do some extra fun things while Daddy was away. We went on a walk on a blustery day and decided to come back in and have hot chocolate.

Good stuff! I think this was Ian's first hot chocolate!

The highlight of every day was getting to talk to Daddy on the phone!

Ian had such a good time telling Daddy all about his day.

They sang songs together on the phone too.

One night while we were talking to Daddy, Ian took the phone and wandered off. I followed him and realized he had found a picture of all three of us in the hall closet and was talking to Daddy while looking at our family picture! So sweet!

My little buddy followed me EVERYWHERE! So we made the most of our time. My little copy-cat even wanted his hair in a towel like Mommy's!

Ian and I found some good baseball stuff on sale at the store, so we got some new toys to keep ourselves entertained. Ian loved his new ball and mitt!

He'd definitely make a great base runner!

Daddy surprised us and come home a few hours early!!!!! This meant I got to see him before going to work that day. Ian immediately ran up to him and showed him his beans and cheese. True love, I guess!

When I got home from work, Ian had just woken up from a nap and was catching up on Daddy cuddles.

We were glad Daddy had the opportunity to go to Disney, but we sure missed him! We are very glad to have him back home!
