Hokey Pokey Man

Ian loves, loves, LOVES "The Hokey Pokey". It is 99.999% guaranteed to put a smile on his face. In fact, just about every smile you have seen in pictures the last four months is because we were singing "The Hokey Pokey". (Haha - you just thought he actually liked pureed peas!)

Ian and I spend some time playing in his room just about every morning before his first nap. His closet doors have mirrors on them, so he loves to watch us play and sing in front of the mirror. We almost always sing his favorite song too. We have done this so often that I wanted to share it with you.

You put your right arm in, you put your right arm out. You put your right arm in and shake it all about!

You put your left arm in, you put your left arm out. You put your left arm in and shake it all about!

You put your right foot in, you put your right foot out. You put your right foot in and shake it all about!

You put your left foot in, you put your left foot out. You put your left foot in and shake it all about!

You put your head in, you put your head out. You put your head in and shake it all about!

You put your whole self in, you put your whole self out. You put your whole self in and shake it all about!

You do the Hokey Poke and turn yourself around. That's what it's all about!

I also have a little video to share with you of Ian doing the Hokey Pokey on Daddy's shoulders. We did two takes, and the other take was actually better of Ian. However, I was getting a little bit too into it and the camera is really bouncy. So, to keep you from getting dizzy, here's the first take. :-)
