We have had a busy weekend so far! Yesterday, James went back to Rick's (his drum teacher) house to drum with a couple of the guys. So, my mom and I went walking at the mall with Ian. We've been planning to walk different parks in the area, but it was way too cold! It was so funny - while we were there, I was entertaining Ian while my mom tried on dresses. He was bouncing up and down in my lap while my mom and I were talking about the fit of the dress. I said "Oh boy!" and turned back to Mom just in time to hear my little buddy say "Oooh boh!" I couldn't believe it! He is already saying "Mama" and "Dada" and "Hey, Daddy!" (sounds like "Ay Dee-dee"), but we haven't heard him repeat any other words that we could understand. I've tried to get him to repeat it for James, but no luck on that yet.
Today, Aunt Julie was in the area and stopped by to drop off our umbrella that we had left over at her house. Ian had a great time getting to see her and of course had to show off his bouncing skills and how much he loves to sing "The Hokey Pokey". I love this picture of the two of them having so much fun!

It has been so cold, but that doesn't stop Ian from wanting to go on his daily walks. So, after Aunt Julie's visit, I bundled him up to go for a short walk to check the mail. Shane, one of the interpreters I work with, has very nicely passed on some clothing that his two boys no longer fit. The red jacket is from his family and is perfect for these cold days! The sleeves normally cover Ian's hands, which is great since he doesn't particularly care for mittens. Haha - he's trying to taste the zipper in this picture!

After dinner, it was bath time. Ian loves, loves, loves to try and hold onto the water as the bath is running. Normally we run the water and then put him in the tub, but since he likes to play in the running water so much, we have started letting him sit in the tub while it runs. When I started taking pictures of Ian to share on the blog, I was surprised to see how the camera captured the water - it looks so cool like this! Our actual eyes aren't fast enough to stop the action of the water to see it like this.

Little duckie trying to catch the water. Again, I love how the camera captured this!

Whee! So much fun!
Making big splashes.

After bath time in his new jammies. I love these jammies! They are super, super soft and snuggly! Most of his jammies are pretty soft, but these take the cake (or outer space, I should say!). They are his first pair of 12 month sleepers and the feet have little grippy things on them for better traction.
We hope everyone has a fantastic week!
love the pic of him in the stroller. so cute! look at all that hair!!!
