First Tooth!

We've had a toothless wonder running around our house for the last eight months. The poor little guy has had all the symptoms of teething since he was four months old and at six month we could see his "fang" teeth on the bottom making white bumps on the front of his gums. The poor little guy has had lots and LOTS of drool with nary a tooth to show for it.

Until today that is! This morning, I was changing his diaper and taking a chance to peek at his gums like I normally do. Ian has been spitting up all week though, something he does when he is teething, so we thought for sure one of those bottom dwellers would be making its debut this month. So imagine my surprise to see the edge of his TOP tooth peeking through the gum line! We hadn't expected those top ones to be the first to break through at all!

See the little white bump (top middle right)? That's the tooth! I wish I could get a better picture of it, but I was doing good to even get this shot.

Don't you love this face? Haha - trying to get another viewing.

I love this picture - thought it was super sweet, even though no toofies show.

Bottom gum line. You can't see it very well in this photo, but there are several white bumps along his bottom gums with teeth-to-be just hanging out.

I had to add this picture too. I came home last night to find Ian sleeping with his hands above his head. He must have finally said "I give up!" to Mr. Sandman.

Happy teething, baby boy! May all the rest of your teeth come in quickly and easily and may Tylenol continue to soothe and comfort you.
