Last night before I left for work, Ian was being really sweet and giving Daddy cuddles. Or at least that is what we thought he was doing at first. Ian would bury his face in Daddy's chest and then look up at him and smile. After a time or two of this, James said, "I think he is smelling me!" And indeedy-do, when we listened closely, we could hear our little man sniffing every time he buried his face in Daddy's chest! Yummm! Mommy happens to love the way Daddy smells. Then Ian leaned over and sniffed Mommy. Good thing she had taken a shower that day! It is so cute to see Ian gain awareness of his senses!
Cuddling with Daddy. And teething!!!
Awww...telling Daddy how much he loves him.

Super, super, super sweet baby cuddles.

Ian never used to like to lay on us and cuddle. So of course we are soaking this new stage in and taking tons of pictures of it!

"Hey, Mommy! Guess what! I have a new tooth coming through!" We looked after bath time tonight (Thurs) and his fifth tooth had popped through!! It is on the top right, right next to his other top right tooth. The top left one looks like it will pop through any day now.

This morning, Nana and Aunt Lizzie took all the kids to the Dallas Aquarium. It was great as it gave me a chance to finish some party planning and cleaning. Ian was in a very cuddly mood when Nana arrived to pick him up.

Ian has recently started cuddling up against us more (like he is with Nana in the above picture) to go to sleep at bed time. But in this new cuddling/teething stage, he actually took a nap cuddled up on me yesterday and fell asleep at bedtime cuddled up on James! Normally, Ian will only sleep in his crib or car seat. James said it was pretty cute - he sat on the couch with Ian for some down time before bed and Ian kept crawling on him to cuddle. Eventually, he wore himself out and fell asleep on Daddy. It wasn't long before Daddy fell asleep himself! So sweet! The extra cuddles this week may be due to teething, and while we feel bad for Ian's hurting toofies, we are loving the extra cuddles! Don't stop, baby boy! We'll take as many cuddles as you can dish out!
Ian isn't the only cuddler in the family. I laid down on the couch tonight at my mom's for a short break and Aiden crawled right up with me. He is such a good cuddler and you can bet Aunt Laura is ready to cuddle with him any time! It's so funny - as we were laying there watching Veggie Tales, he was playing with the finger nail on my index finger very much the same way Ian does! Must be a boy thing.
awww i love cuddles too! love all the pics.
