This morning, my sleepy-eyed little booger found his way into my bed at 6am. Fortunately, that meant he didn't get actually get up until 8:15! Daddy had to work early this morning, but we were expecting him home by 7:45 or so. So we crept out of the bedroom expecting to see him asleep on the couch. Nope! Poor Daddy! He had to stay at work late.
So we decided to make Daddy breakfast and surprise him. Ian immediately went to his drawer (the bottom stove drawer) in the kitchen to collect supplies (on the way he found his juice cup and managed to dribble some on his shorts).
We made Daddy blueberry waffles with strawberries on the side. (And yes, Eggo helped!)

Daddy didn't get home until about 9am. Ian was sooooo happy to see Daddy! He ran right over and gave him a huge hug!

Ian just wanted Daddy to carry him around. He was so happy to have Daddy home!

After a little while, Ian decided he could go play with toys and let Daddy eat his breakfast (Ian and I had already eaten).

Happy Father's Day, sweetheart! I could not ask for a more amazing, loving, dependable, strong, fun, caring, godly Daddy or husband! Thank you for all you do for us and for all the sacrifices you make on our behalf. We appreciate it more than words can say! And Happy Father's Day to all the other Daddies out there, especially the ones celebrating for the first time this year!
love the waffles! you're so creative!
