On the 3rd Day of Christmas...

...my sweetie brought to me a stack of presents under the Christmas tree!

The above picture is probably what it really looked like. Here's a picture with the flash on.

Late last night I dove into Grandma Mary's box of goodies that arrived yesterday and put them in the recliner. This morning, they found their way under the little tree James set up for us. (We have yet to set up the big tree as we think a certain little munchkin will have a hard time keeping his paws off of it.) My sweet hubby let me sleep til 11am! (Although Ian did his part and let both of us stay in bed until 9:30am!) I still wasn't feeling well and thought we ought to open presents to see if that got us feeling better.

Ian wasn't sure about pulling the wrapping paper off at first.

But he was sure excited to see the contents of the package - flash cards! We will have fun practicing our words and signs with those!

As soon as he remembered how to pull wrapping paper off (he did great last year on his own!), Ian really warmed up to the business of opening his presents.

He loved his new Winnie the Pooh book and sat down to read it right away.

Mommy got an awesome cup that says, "Life is all about how you handle Plan B." My sweet Grandma knows how hard some of the challenges we have faced have been and has faced plenty of hardships herself. I thought this cup was super sweet and soooo true! Sometimes you just have to acknowledge that it is all about Plan B. (Please excuse the weird expression on my face...James told me to move my head down an inch and it DID not work for making the picture look better. Apparently that works for him. We must have different requirements for good pictures.)

I didn't get a picture of the first season of Fantasty Island that we also got because James didn't want his picture taken with kleenex stuffed up his nose. Go figure. It's all about Plan B, right?! Haha. Anyways - many, many thanks to you Grandma Cookie for getting our morning started off on the right foot. You are always so thoughtful and we greatly appreciate all you do for us!

P.S. Happy 19 months, little boy! We'll have to do a post about that soon! Maybe after finals...
