Sneak Peak

Ian is going to be one VERY lucky little boy at Christmas this year! We have found some absolutely amazing markdowns on toys, so he is getting more from us this year than he normally would. Also, he is blessed with an extremely generous extended family and will be getting some wonderful gifts from them.

One of the ones that I am really excited about is the portable dvd player that Ian's Gramma K is going in on with us for him. Ian does not like to sit still at all, and trips to the doctor's office (or anywhere else we have to wait) are HORRIBLE! We love his pedi, but the office isn't really set up well for little ones (there are several other doctors who share the office) and getting through an appointment is always a huge struggle. However, with a portable dvd player, Veggie Tales can work their theraputic magic and keep my little boy entertained as he waits for the doctor!

When Gramma K mentioned getting dvd players for the boys (his cousin gets one too!), I was thrilled. I knew it would be very helpful at the dr's and on long trips. This past week, Ian ended up getting bad allergies, a cough, and a super red ring around his eye (looked like a black eye, but was red). So we knew it was time for a trip to the dr's office. And Christmas or not, I was not about to go back without the dvd player! So we cracked it open early, and I am so glad we did.

He sat on this little stool and watched Veggie Tales like such a big boy. Whew!

Poor little sick baby conked out on the way home. If you double click the picture to make it larger, you can see how horrible his face looked. Poor kid!

The doctor set him up with some antiobiotics and said that the red eye was due to clogged ear ducts messing with eye ducts. Poor kiddo! The medicine has helped though and Ian is doing much better! And I don't regret for a moment opening a Christmas present early...we'll rewrap it!
