On the 7th Day of Christmas...

...Providence brought to us some sweet friends for our baby!

I know I have said this before, but God has blessed us over and over with wonderful friends for us and Ian. On Saturday, we were finally able to meet up with our neighbors - James, Serina, and Isaac. We have gotten to know them over the past few months while we've been out walking. We kept running in to them and got to talking. James and Serina are wonderful and eight month Isaac is as sweet as can be! On Saturday, they all had a little present for Ian. He loves his stacking blocks! Thank you! We had a little something for Isaac too.

Little bowling penguins and a ball! We hope Isaac enjoys them!

That evening, Noah came over! Libby and Josh had a Christmas dinner to go to, and we were more than happy to have Noah. (We'll have to have Isaac over as well next time!) The boys hadn't seen each other in a few weeks and got re-acquainted over Ian's new play table.

I love Noah's smile!!

It wasn't long before Noah was helping Ian get all dressed up. Ian loved it!

Noah showed off his computer skills - he's a master with the mouse!

See those balls in the above picture? Somehow they found their way to the ottoman in a nice, neat little row! I'll give you two guesses as to who did that! (Hint - Ian can't leave anything on anything for more than two seconds without giving in to the temptation to knock whatever it is off!)

Cheese!!

The boys had fun chasing each other down the slide!

Of course, these two little Veggie Tales fans couldn't resist dancing to the songs.

It was seriously adorable!

After a bit, the boys were ready for dinner. Since the kitchen table was a mess full of Christmas projects, we let put Ian in his high chair and Noah got to sit in front of the TV. Sigh. I can't wait until Ian is old enough to sit still like that and not get ketchup over everything!

After dinner, it was back to the hats!

Right before bath time, we decided to dip pretzels in chocolate and decorate them with sprinkles! Noah did a great job.

Ian just thought the sprinkle bottles made great sounding rattles.

They both had fun eating the extra sprinkles though!

During bath time, we broke out the monster mitts!! Libby is always making or finding super cute monster stuff, so when I ran across these mitts (and matching towels!) during a Black Friday sale, I couldn't resist getting them for the boys.

Swimming in a sea of bubbles!

Haha...those bubbles look funny on our heads!

Ian got such a big kick out of his monster mitt.

He had a blast playing with it! (Okay...he had a blast watching us play with it!)

Noah thought it was pretty silly too!

Haha...LOVE this cute face!

Seriously Libby...we could keep this kiddo forever!! He's so much fun and has such a great personality!

Of course, we had to have some good jump on the bed time before getting in our jammies.

Then it was off to Ian's room to play for a while.

And then back in the living room to read books. I turned around and caught Noah reading this big ole book!

And then it was snack time! Poor Noah - he was signing "cheese" and I thought he was signing "movie" for a bit (they look extremely similar and we are trying to teach Ian to sign movie, so that sign was the first thing that came to mind). Noah, the little linguist, just changed his sign a bit for me and I got it right away. He's such a smartie!

Ian was getting a bit fussy and sweet Noah brought him his sippy cup.

Here, Ian!

It's for you.

What a good friend! Thank you for helping Ian out, Noah.

A little later, I walked into the living room to see that the balls on the ottoman had multiplied!

Ian had a great time running around the ottoman. Noah did a great job picking up all the balls Ian accidentally knocked off. (Daddy edited the video a bit...you'll see!)

Isaac and Noah - we are so thankful to have you in our lives! We hope you come play again soon!

  1. What a great post! I love seeing these 2 little guys playing together and developing a friendship early on. I hope that you and the Bonjours remain in the same area for them to be able to "grow up" together. That's a true blessing!

  2. Oh, and by the way, I love the 2 videos. I had to wait until I got home tonight to watch them. Tell James that his editing really made me laugh. Good job!
