Poor Baby!

Poor Ian! He wasn't feeling good Wednesday night and slept with us. It's a good thing that I am a light sleeper because when he started gagging around 4am, I was able to run him to the bathroom!

We were up until 6am when he finally had gotten most of it out of his system. I put him to bed and ran to Wal-Mart to get ginger ale and Pedialyte. I always, always try to keep an extra Pedialyte on hand because you just never know when you will need it. I was out though and didn't want to have to work the logistics of taking a sick kid to the store. Fortunately, Ian slept the whole time I was gone (Daddy was having to get ready for work).

He woke up fussing not even five minutes after I got home, and I knew what that meant! Luckily it was short lived and he was back in bed with me by 7am. And then he slept until 11am!! I am so thankful for that! I desperately needed that kind of rest!

I was also really, really, really, really, really glad I didn't have to work during the day yesterday. We just hung around the house. Poor sick baby!

This face just melts pulls every single heart string I have!

Such a sweet boy! He saw me taking pictures and tried to smile for the camera all on his own.

I think all Ian ate yesterday was two pieces of bread with butter. We slept (although he was really restless) until 10 this morning. Then he gagged again. (Perhaps he really needed something in his tummy and not having anything caused it?) So we've been taking it easy!

Now comes the fun part. Figuring what in the world is going on. You probably remember, this happened last week too. Once I will attribute to a bug. Twice (TMI alert! - when he is puking up the same kind of mucusy stuff) makes me wonder...allergy? too much drainage? Who knows?! I really need to keep a food diary so when things like this happen, I can look at what he has been eating.

For now, I am going to go hang out with my little buddy and enjoy my relieved feeling of not having to work at all today!
