Sick Daddy

Poor Daddy has been sick over the weekend. Saturday night he had a fever of 102.5, so he called in sick to work. My mom was super sweet and brought us Sprite, Gatorade, ecchinacea tea, and apple cider vinegar. Apparently you can put a gallon of apple cider vinegar in a hot bath, soak for 15 minutes, and it will help cut the fever. James and I had never heard of this before but were up for giving it a try. Lo and behold, it really helped! Within a couple hours of his bath, James' fever went down to 99.5 and then an hour later it was 97.3. The fever stayed down all night and we thought he was good to go.

After sleeping all morning on Sunday, he started not feeling well again that evening around 5pm. So we took his temp and it was 101.8. I called into work - obviously James couldn't watch Ian with a fever in case he was contagious! - and then ran to the store for more apple cider vinegar. The stuff did what it was supposed to and brought his fever back down. He's still feeling blah today, but no more fever.

Unfortunately, he hasn't been able to spend much time with Ian since he has been sick. So, Ian and I thought it would be fun to post this video of Ian playing peekaboo with Daddy a few days ago. (The video is super short because I can't post anything too long without using an embedded program and I don't have one set up yet.)
