In the midst of such a long week, it was nice to find a little comic relief provided by my nephew Aiden, who is four. His sister, Allie, is five and together they make quite a dynamic duo!
Here's just a little glimpse of their silliness (picture was taken last year at Nana's house).I have stories upon stories I could tell about the two of them! Like the time Allie was a sweet big sister and shared the jelly with her little brother.

But that's not the story for today. Today's story is about Aiden and his fiesty little personality. Of course, he has some super sweetness mixed in there too. Here's some of that loveable little boy sweetness - Aiden with the late, very loved Socrates (Uncle Mike and Aunt Lissie's dog). This morning I was looking everywhere for $40 that I had put on the dryer. I checked my purse, my pockets, under, around, and over the dryer, but couldn't find the money anywhere. I finally asked the kids if they had seen the money and Aiden says, "Sure have. I put it in my car bank. I am saving it for later." He was so matter of fact. At least the lessons in savings is working :)
Haha! Cracks me up. I'm taking notes for when Ian turns four.
Shortly thereafter, in a conversation with his dad, Mr. Personality gave us all yet another laugh (as noted by my lovely sis who keeps us up to date!).
A few minutes later, Russell spelled D-A-R-T and Aiden said, "that spells dart!" Russell said he was surprised that Aiden knew that and Aiden said, "Remember I have a little bit of brain power."
Aiden - thank goodness for a little bit of brain power! We love you and your sister very much and can't wait until the next time we get to see you!
how funny! that cracks me up about the money.
