Upsy Daisy

Ian didn't sleep super long for his afternoon nap, and since he was just talking to himself when he woke up, I let him stay in his crib for a little bit to see if he would go back to sleep. After about ten or fifteen minutes, he decided he had enough of the self-talk and wanted out! So, he raised his voice a bit and I went to go get him. I was so surprised by what I saw that I immediately turned around to go get the camera, which made for a VERY unhappy camper! I guess he thought I was leaving him.

Ian has been pulling himself up on his knees for a few weeks now and will even "crawl" on his hands and toes, but this was the first time he pulled himself up to his feet on his own!

Later this afternoon, I put him in the Pack N Play with his favorite toys while I got ready for our dinner out with Aunt Julie and Cousin Hannah. It wasn't long before Ian was showing off his new trick again. He looks so proud of himself!

Now, all the rest of these pictures might look like just a bunch of repeats, but I couldn't resist adding all of his cute little facial expressions. I love his little smile in this one...such a sweet baby!

Daddy had just woken up from his nap, so I called him over to see Ian's new trick. Ian was so cute - he waved hi to Daddy as soon as he walked in the room!

What a cute smile! Makes me grin every time I see it!

And, of course, new heights mean plenty of new things to taste and chew on!

Uspy daisy, little buddy! You are quickly growing and reaching new milestones every day! Now Mommy and Daddy have to baby-proof to another level. We love you so much and are so thankful for the joy you bring to our lives!

We were a little remiss in actually getting a hold of Uncle Tray today to wish him "Happy Birthday"...we feel really bad about that! Ian certainly loves his Uncle Tray - they have such a good time hanging out watching the game together whenever we see him. Uncle Tray always knows how to get a smile out of Ian and is gonna make sure our boy knows how to throw a mean football pass. We love you Uncle Tray and hope you had a great birthday!
