Sad Day

When we first moved to these apartments, we didn't really know anyone close by except my mom. However, we soon had the fortune of meeting Naybah C and Babe the Dawg. Naybah C would be out walking his "baby" when we were out walking our baby and we started talking. That has led to a great friendship and some really fun times (Avatar!). Every time we went to visit Naybah C, Babe the Dawg would come over with a friendly greeting to see what was going on. Even though she was fifteen and would probably have rathered continued napping, she was always very polite to come and greet company and Ian loved it! He would watch her and laugh and smile away.

Babe has had health problems since she was little bitty, but our awesome upstairs neighbor took her in and made sure she had a long, full life. In the past several months, her health has started to deteriorate more and more, but Naybah C's care of her never wavered and she was always well looked after. So, you can imagine our heartbreak when I got the news earlier this evening that sweet Babe had taken a turn for the worse over the last 24 hours and had to be put to sleep this morning.

Here's a picture of Babe right after grooming a few years back.

Sweet, sweet baby girl!

Naybah C, we are soooooooo sorry for your loss! Babe, was a sweetheart of a friend and is going to be greatly missed!
